The two were inseparable and loved running, playing in their dust baths, and curling up together for naps. Sadly, we said goodbye to Ursula in 2024 after doing everything we could to support her comfort and quality of life. Ariel remains a cherished member of our clinic family and continues to receive plenty of love and attention. She has assisted at the animal hospital, in many different roles, since opening in 2002. She went to school for Accounting and Business Management, and is our behind the scenes girl, dedicated to making sure the practice runs smoothly and all our financial needs are met. She can be found bouncing around wearing many hats to help ensure clients and patients have the best care possible, and that our team is happy! Abi and her husband, together with their children, have a Miniature Schnauzer named Goose. She is dedicated yogi and holistic enthusiast. After graduating from Seneca College in 2013, she joined our team and has been an essential part of the clinic ever since. Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge, a contagious smile, and a passion for animal care — including feline grooming! Outside the clinic, she enjoys camping, reading, video games, and family time with her husband AJ, son Karsen, Golden Retriever Jonesy, and chinchilla Kovu. Her passion for animals has even taken her to South Africa, where she had the incredible opportunity to care for lions, tigers, and giraffes! Mikaela joined us part-time in 2022 and came on full-time in 2023. She holds a degree in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour from McMaster University and graduated from Seneca College’s Animal Care program in 2021. With previous experience at an equine surgical referral facility, Mikaela has a special interest in animal rehabilitation and is currently working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, and reading. At home, she shares life with Kevin the Shih Tzu mix, Tehya the three-legged Shepherd mix, and her cat Perry. Sarah dreams of one day volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand.
