Medical Feline and Rabbit Grooming
At Spencer Creek Animal Hospital, we understand that even with the best care at home, cats and rabbits can develop painful or difficult-to-manage mats. Severe matting can cause significant discomfort, restrict movement, and affect the health and condition of the skin underneath.
Our medical grooming service is intended for patients whose temperament makes grooming difficult or unsafe without sedation, or whose coat is severely matted and requires medical support to be safely and comfortably managed.
When sedation is needed, we use medications that can be reversed, allowing your pet to be gently awakened as soon as grooming is complete. Patients remain under continuous monitoring throughout the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.
Once the mats are removed and the coat and skin are properly cleaned, many pets experience a noticeable improvement in their comfort and overall quality of life.
