Sarah Waddle

Sarah is one of the first faces you see when you walk in. With many years of experience in customer service she enjoys working with people as well as animals. She has a passion for animal health and nutrition an continues to keep herself up-to-date with continued education.

When not at the clinic Sarah enjoys spending her time outdoors, with her husband Matthew, camping and hiking, or travelling the world!

She has four cats, Big Boy, Little Girl, Binx, and Eevee, and three dogs, a Doberman named Voodoo, a cattle dog named Merlin and a Boston terrier Jack Russel Mix named Roberto. Although some may say too much, Sarah thinks she has the perfect amount!

Melissa Hoffman

Melissa’s journey in the veterinary industry started in North Carolina, when her two-year-old poodle Tyson underwent surgery for a genetic herniated disk and her puppy Lily was found to have a high-grade heart murmur and pulmonary hypertension. Melissa has personal experience with multiple clinics, emergency and referral centres and specialists. Her animals health complications, have included epilepsy, diabetes, and the need for at-home oxygen therapy and lifelong daily medications. All of this leading her to where she is today, and helping assist clients with first hand insight and compassion.

Melissa moved back to Canada during 2018. She has an academic background in Physiotherapy and applies her passion and compassion for both people and animals into one field.

While Lily passed at the age of six in 2019 due to her lifelong health issues, Melissa also has a European Doberman named Paisley.

You can find Melissa toting Tyson around in his favourite backpack while out walking Paisley. She also enjoys DIY projects, horror movies, being with family and embracing new adventures!

Mikaela Romain

Maria De Stefano

Maria’s initial interest in veterinary medicine began shortly after seeing her dog, Nya give birth to puppies at home when she was a child. Since then, she been fascinated with caring for animals and learning about their intricate inner processes. 

She started in the industry as a high school co-op student and continued working in small animal clinics as a veterinary assistant. She enjoys speaking with clients just as much as helping their pets. 

Maria also has experience working with dairy cattle, wildlife, such as racoons, skunks and possums, and even beluga whales! Her ultimate goal is to become a veterinarian and she is starting her first year at the Ontario Veterinary College this fall!

Maria has a Hungarian Vizsla named Luna, a Devon Rex named Suki, two axolotls named Caspian and Bubba and two honeybee hives that are her passion!

Danielle Scarlett

Dani joined us a volunteer in 2018. Her hard work and keen attitude paid off, and she was hired as a Kennel Attendant for Boarding & Daycare in 2019. While the Boarding and Daycare facilities were closed during the Pandemic, she grew in her position with us and has been working alongside the team as one of our star assistants.

You can find her snapping patient pictures for our social media pages or interacting with the animals and giving them lots of love, treats and support.

She has a cat named Oreo, two rabbits, Hoppers and Hopperlina, and a rescued Beagle named Maggie that has taken over her heart.

Eron Cochrane

After volunteering with us for a long time, Eron officially joined our team in November 2022. She is a lover of all animals with a particular fondness for cats and hopes to provide all pets with the same love and care they’ve given her over the years. Here she is with her cat Mickey.
