Melissa Hoffman
Melissa’s journey in the veterinary industry started in North Carolina, when her two-year-old poodle Tyson underwent surgery for a genetic herniated disk and her puppy Lily was found to have a high-grade heart murmur and pulmonary hypertension. Melissa has personal experience with multiple clinics, emergency and referral centres and specialists. Her animals health complications, have included epilepsy, diabetes, and the need for at-home oxygen therapy and lifelong daily medications. All of this leading her to where she is today, and helping assist clients with first hand insight and compassion.
Melissa moved back to Canada during 2018. She has an academic background in Physiotherapy and applies her passion and compassion for both people and animals into one field.
While Lily passed at the age of six in 2019 due to her lifelong health issues, Melissa also has a European Doberman named Paisley.
You can find Melissa toting Tyson around in his favourite backpack while out walking Paisley. She also enjoys DIY projects, horror movies, being with family and embracing new adventures!
